Install NetBSD on a Sun Netra T1 with an SCSI CDROM

Burn a sparc64 NetBSD-4 ISO image. Attach a serial connection to the serial 0 port. Attach a SCSI-CDROM (in my case external). Start the machine and go to the OpenBoot prompt by sending a break. Start from the CD with

boot /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/scsi@2/disk@6,0:f

In my case the CDROM has SCSI-ID 6.

With probe-ide-all and probe-scsi-all you can search for devices.

Then you can start the normal NetBSD install procedure. Attention: Do not modify the partition to FFSv2 (cannot boot).
